The Scarlett 8i6 is everything needed to connect a computer-based, two-player synth rig to a larger audio system. Featuring four main outputs (two stereo pairs) and two headphone jacks, this interface is perfect for ensembles using a single computer for two synth players.
A large volume dial on the front panel gives easy access to the main output level and the entire device is powered through the USB connection.
With your live performance software programmed correctly, you can use the four main outputs as two separate stereo outputs, one for each player, to connect to your main audio system with a balanced TRS 1/4” to XLR-M adapter cable. The headphone jacks can be used to connect to your synth players’ monitor speakers, allowing them to hear their assigned instrument sounds.
The two input combo-jacks and four 1/4” line inputs can be used to send audio from different sources into your live performance software, such as Apple’s MainStage 3 or Ableton Live, for digital processing.
