The On-Stage DB1000 is a single-channel (mono) Active Direct Box that converts any unbalanced ¼” audio source to balanced XLR signal for long cable or snake runs to a mixer or PA system. 
 
The DB1000 is equipped with low-distortion circuitry that does require +48v Phantom Power from a mixer. To prevent audio signal clipping, the DB1000 has a -15dB pad switch that reduces the outbound signal level as well as a ground-lift switch to handle any ground-loop hum that may occur. Throughput connectors allow unaltered signals to be passed to other devices, such as a monitor speaker.
 
The DB1000 is built like a brick with a heavy-duty metal enclosure that can easily handle the rigors of the marching arts, protecting internal components and ensuring reliable performance.
