The VP88 is a stereo microphone. It has two internal microphone pickups that allow it to capture a wide panorama of sound; Perfect for small ensembles and soloists alike. As the VP88 is a stereo microphone, the outbound audio signals are sent through a Y-cable to two XLR connectors, for the left and right audio signals, and requires two mixer channels.
 
The VP88 has a robust build quality and is larger than most other microphones. It’s equipped with a switchable low-cut filter for reducing wind noise and other types of rumble, and a selectable stereo-width option for optimal sound pickup.
 
Since the VP88 is a condenser microphone, it does require +48v Phantom Power to operate properly. However, it is able to supply its own Phantom Power with the use of a 6V camera battery.
 
The entire VP88 package contains the VP88 itself, a windscreen, a swivel adapter, and the aforementioned Y-cable.
